 I love this film: 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'





Sophia Loren is gorgeous and an absolute delight.

Marcello Mastrianni is the perfect foil.

this is one of those feel-good movies that freeze a smile on ones face throughout the story, and well after the film has ended. speaking of the ending, Sophia's strip-tease is the cherry on the icing. i finally understand what all the hoopla over her meant. a true star, a goddess of cinema.  this one is a must see classic.

okay so this movie is not for everybody. but, it is for me. it is funny, it is moving,
it made me laugh and misty-eyed all at once..
 i love the cast, each character is memorable.
i WILL watch this flick again. THAT'S how good it is.

oh, did i mention that the story is very good, and not at all formulaic?
 no?
well the story is NOT formulaic and kept my interest throughout.

why does Capra always do this. i've lost count of the times i've viewed this film since i was born over half a century ago. and i always cry. i don't get it. its a sappy, unbelievable and predictable yarn. but there it is, i cry each and every time. heck i dunno. but , its a wonderful picture, and Donna Reed,

well . . . she's as George would say, a real peach!
